Today’s teachers, friends/family and students fundraising cricket match went very well, even better than Englands match yesterday!

Lots of fun had by all, a few gentle reminders (to mainly the teachers) that it was a friendly ‘game’, many sixes were hit, and many wickets fell.

A big thank you to all those who played and donated not just their time but their culinary skills too. The cricket bat signed by the whole of the Essex County Cricket Team, including the former England Captain Alastair Cook was on display.  Photos of this being awarded will be posted after the Sports Award Night on Wednesday 17th July.

We had some great feedback, and not just about the food! We have managed to establish the event,  promoted FoICHS,  got to know some parents and were fortunate enough to have the Chairman from the local cricket club (Oakfield Parkonians) play too.  A lovely Ilford County High School community event to finish the year.

If you have any feedback please email us on or if you are attending the Sports Award Night please come and see us.  We will be selling refreshments and yes……more cake!

Most importantly though, the boys had a good time and we raised £240 pounds. A big well done to all.

Amazing cricket to rival any England World Cup Final!!
