Friends of Ilford County High School AGM (Annual General Meeting)
The Friends of ICHS were set up just one year ago and have achieved so much in this time! We are made up of parents, carers and staff who are committed to help raise funds for the benefit of our children and to provide a strong link between home and school.
We are holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday 1st April at 5 – 6pm and would encourage everyone linked to the school, that wants to be involved in the Friends of ICHS to come along.
The AGM is an opportunity to hear how we did in our first year of being set up, elect your committee, find out how you can join or support this team of fabulous people, have your say on what events we hold this year and how the money raised is spent!
How can you help?
- Become a Committee Member — the committee help plan and run all PTA events, we couldn’t run any events without their help and support! The committee is made up of specific
positions (Chair/Co-Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer & Secretary) as well as other committee members, all of which need to be officially elected at the AGM. Some of the commitee members are standing down from last year, so there are plenty of opportunities to put your name forward.
- Turn up and vote at the AGM — we need people to vote to elect the committee.
- Time! Time! Time! Volunteer — There are so many different jobs that need doing through the year. These can be daytime or evening jobs, at home or in School, 5 mins or longer. More ideas are here: http://friendsofichs.co.uk/get-involved
Whether you have vast amounts or no experience of being part of such a group please come along to find out more, play an active role in planning future fundraising and meet other ICHS parents.
